HUNTER BOOTS. I’ve always been talking about festivals when I’m talking about these boots (‘schoenen‘), but I also wear them on a regular school day. Yesterday morning is was raining cats and dogs so I decided it was time to take my Hunter boots out for a walk, but when I was outside it stopped raining and the sun was shining again.. In some way this always happens to me.

Oh and my apologies for the lack of updates lately. Long days at school are not helping and all I’ve been doing lately is working on my portfolio and working on my latest school projects. Oh how I looove it when the end of the year is approaching.. NOT.

MY ROOM. This is the place where it all happens. The blog-related stuff. Well, not all of it of course, because most of the time I sit downstairs on the couch editing pictures and writing blogposts. I don’t even do my homework on my desk and I never use it. Oh, that ain’t really true. I do use it, but I only use it to cover it up with clothes and other stuff.
So I need to admit though, my room doesn’t always look like this. Before I took these pictures I’ve been cleaning up for two and a half hours. I try to keep it as clean as possible every day but it just doesn’t happen. I bet next week there will be clothes all over the place already. Also ballet costumes, shoes, school stuff, drawings and books can be found all over the place as well. Oh well, teenage problems..

POP OF NEON. First of all I want to apologize for my absence.. You know how it goes. School, deadlines, homework and not to mention Queensday! I have no spare time at all, I even spend my vacation at school. How awesome?! (Smell the sarcasm)

Well, back to the blog business. I’ve been really into neon lately, especially in yellow. When I found these neon yellow Vans I just fell in love. They would look great in this outfit, but I also can imagine them with skinny jeans and an oversized blouse. I just need them.
I’m not really surprised if I just made you curious about these Vans sneakers as well. They come in every colour you can imagine like mint green, dark blue and purple. Fortunately for you guys I found a dutch website where you can see them all, so check them out on Beslist.nl.

UNITED NUDE. Yay finally wore my United Nude pin heels again. This brand is probably one of my favourite shoe brands ever. They’re not “just” shoes (‘schoenen‘). It’s art combined with fashion. What instantly caught my attention when I saw these in stores, was the super thin heel. Because of the heel these shoes can make every outfit kind of edgy, which I love about them. This outfit would look totally different if I was wearing black, elegant pumps, wouldn’t it?
And this proves that shoes can finish an outfit :-) So mum/dad, are you reading this? A girl cannot have enough shoes.

GUESS heels

GUESS HEELS. Thanks to the sweetest Linsey I received these GUESS beauties a few days ago. They’re absolutely amazing, aren’t they? I’ve always been a fan of the snakeskin print as you can see here and now I have two of my favourite things combined: snakeskin print and shoes (‘schoenen‘). Fortunately these 5,3 inch babies are pretty easy to walk on.

TOMS shoes

TOMS. You all may know I’m kind of a shoe addict, especially heels. But no one can walk their whole life on heels, neither do I. I was just browsing through my Tumblr dashboard and then I suddenly bumped into a picture of black crochet TOMS shoes. It was love at first sight. I looked them up and thought they weren’t available in the Netherlands so I looked for them in New York, but unfortunately I couldn’t find them.
Then last Saturday I went downtown with my mum for a sushi lunch when she took me to a store I didn’t know of. All the clothing, shoes and accessories were sustainable and that’s when I found the TOMS shoes I’ve always wanted. When I read the shoe box and found out what they were doing I just couldn’t not buy these. With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. One of my best purchases ever I guess and now I can’t wait to wear them!

Also there’s an event every year all over the world which is called One Day Without Shoes to raise awareness for the kids in the world who don’t have shoes. When you’re not wearing shoes for a day, you realize how important they are. I seriously feel like participating next year!

STRAPPY SANDALS. You couldn’t have not noticed this trend. These kind of shoes (‘schoenen‘) are everywhere now. Some find them boring, some find them perfect. I’m one of the people who thinks these simple heels are perfect. One of the reasons why I love them is because they go with everything. Baggy jeans, skinny jeans, shorts, maxi dresses and so on. You can name all kind of clothing, it just goes with everything. One of the other reasons is that I just love how minimalistic they are. The more simple it is, the better. A few straps are enough.

HUNTER BOOTS. It was Sunday. I woke up, took a shower and picked out some clothes. Then I ran downstairs, grabbed the Hunter boots out of its box and immediately put them on and it felt great. At first they didn’t really walked that nice, but after I went outside for a while I got used to it.
Tuesday. It rained outside (as usual here in the Netherlands) and I had to go to the train station to go to school by bike. Didn’t know what shoes to wear without getting my socks soaked but then I remembered I had my new Hunter boots! This was actually the first time I didn’t mind the rain, just because I could wear my new shoes (‘schoenen‘).

OMBRE. This is what my hair looks like after it has been cut and dyed. My hair wasn’t damaged or something, but is has just became too long so I decided to get rid of 12 centimeters.
I’ve been in love with ombre hair for a while now and I decided to dye it ombre last december. I was finally able to make an appointment with my hair dresser the day before Christmas, but eventually she didn’t want to dye my hair like this because (I guess) she thought it was weird to have your hair ombre (which is bullshit of course, excuse my language).
Now, three months later, I still wanted it so badly. I didn’t want to do it myself, so I asked my friend, who’s studying at the hairdressing school, if she would help me out. Fortunately it turned out great and I couldn’t be any happier!

HUNTER BOOTS. First of all I want to thank you a lot for your opinions in my blogpost about festival shoes (‘schoenen‘). Second of all, I’m back from Berlin! When I came back home I found this amazing package lying on the table waiting for me, and there they were: the boots I’ve been waiting for. I’m absolutely in love with them and I can’t wait to wear them outside. There will be an outfit post very very very soon!
