I really didnt know how to call this but you are going to make something like this:



If you want to use the same picture as I did, here it is. #001 Open the photo you've chosen in photoshop and copy it. Then make a new file and paste it. Now you got two of the same pictures. Select one of them and go to Layer » New Adjustment layer » Hue/Suturation and choose this setting:



Now copy the picture with the green apple and paste it on the file with the black/white apple. You only see the black/white apple.

#002 I want the apple to be green and the background have to be grey, so choose the 'polygonal lasso tool (L)' and select the grey apple.



Now press delete, so you delete the apple in the grey layer. Your result is this:
